Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR ACCEPTANCE OF AN OFFER NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

Sponsorship. The LGE Community Credit Union Scholarship Program (hereafter referred to as “Scholarship”) is sponsored by LGE Community Credit Union (hereafter referred to as “Sponsor”), 3100 Cumberland Blvd SE, Ste 1700, Atlanta, GA 30339.

Agreement to Rules. By entering the Scholarship, the Entrant (“You”) agrees to abide by the Sponsor's Official Rules and decisions, which are fully and unconditionally binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify any entry at any time at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. By entering this Scholarship, You represent and warrant that You are eligible to participate based on eligibility requirements explained in the Official Rules. You also agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the content of the Scholarship.

Eligibility. The be eligible, entrants must:

• Be an LGE Community Credit Union member in good standing at time of entry; OR have a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian who is an LGE Community Credit Union member in good standing at time of entry. Membership will be verified upon receipt of entry.
• Be a legal resident of the United States residing in the state of
• Be a high school senior graduating in the 2024–2025 school year from a public high school, private school, or accredited home school in Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Floyd, Fulton, Gordon, or Paulding County.
• Be enrolling to attend as a full-time student in an accredited college, university, or technical school in the United States during the fall of the 2025-2026 academic year.

Officers, Directors, Volunteers, Employees, Agents, Successors and Assignments of LGE Community Credit Union and their immediate family members (defined as spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children and grandchildren) are not eligible to participate.

Entry Period. The Scholarship begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday, March 3, 2025 and ends at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, March 28, 2025 (the “Entry Period”).

How to Enter. Entry and eligibility are based on entrant completing the online application process at lgeccu.kofetime.com. Applicants must:

1. Register for an LGE Community Credit Union KOFE account and complete all required form fields.
2. Complete and pass the “Debt for Teens” financial education course with a score of 70% or above.
3. Answer the following questions in fewer than 400 characters:
   • What was the most impactful lesson you learned from the financial education modules?
   • What would winning the LGE Scholarship mean to you?

Requests submitted by mail, hard copy, email, fax or phone will not be considered for review and will be directed to follow application instructions as detailed above. Should an entrant require an alternate method of entry, please contact us at 770-424-0060 no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, March 24, 2025.

Entrants suspected of using methods or entries that subvert the entry process (within the sole determination of Sponsor) may be disqualified at Sponsor’s discretion. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. No entries may be submitted on behalf of another person.

Limitations on Entries. Limit one entry per person. No third-party entry is permitted. Any person who attempts or otherwise encourages the entry of multiple or false contact information under multiple identities or uses any device or artifice to enter or encourage multiple or false entries, as determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified. Use of robotic entry devices is strictly prohibited.

Awards. LGE will award eight (8) $2,500 scholarships. Two scholarships will be awarded in Cobb County. One scholarship will be awarded in each of the following counties: Bartow, Cherokee, Floyd, Fulton, Gordon, and Paulding Counties. If applications are not received for a county, the scholarship funds designated for that county may be forfeited.

Judging Criteria. Entries will be judged based on the answers provided to the following application questions:

1. What was the most impactful lesson you learned from the financial education modules?
2. What would winning the LGE Scholarship mean to you?

Notification of Winner. Winners will be notified via telephone number and/ or email address provided and must respond within fourteen (14) days and claim their award or the award, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, may be forfeited.

To claim the award, the winner and/or winner’s parent/guardian must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility and publicity to the Credit Union via DocuSign, email at CassieC@LGEccu.org, or direct mail at P.O. Box 1188, Marietta, Georgia 30061, Attn: Cassie Farmer - Scholarship.

The award will be issued directly to the college, university, or technical school on behalf of the recipient upon providing proof of enrollment. If verification of enrollment is not received, or student does not attend an accredited college, university, or technical school in the United States, funds will be forfeited.

Award Stipulations. Awards are non-transferable, with no cash redemptions, equivalents, or substitutions, except at LGE Community Credit Union’s sole and absolute discretion. All Scholarship details not specified in these Official Rules will be determined in LGE Community Credit Union’s sole and absolute discretion. All awards are awarded “AS IS” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). The Winner will be solely responsible for all federal, state and/or local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with the award they receive, regardless of whether it, in whole or in part, are used. Receipt of the award by the Winner is upon the condition of compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. IF THE WINNER VIOLATES ANY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, THE WINNER (AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

Odds. The total number of eligible entries received determines the odds of winning.

Rights Granted by You. By submitting an entry into this Scholarship, You understand and agree that the Sponsor, any individual acting on the Sponsor’s behalf, and the licensees successors, and assigns of the Sponsor shall, where permitted by law, have the right to print, publish, broadcast, distribute and use in any media known now or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, worldwide, and without limitation, your submission, name, photo, portrait, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Scholarship, and your biographical information for news, publicity, advertising, promotional purposes, trade, information, and public relations without any further notice, review, consent, compensation, or remuneration.

Terms & Conditions. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. In its sole discretion, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Scholarship at any time and for any reason.

Limitation of Liability. Your entry into this Scholarship constitutes Your agreement to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, and officers against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages that may occur, directly or indirectly from participation in the Scholarship and/or the 1) Winner accepting, possessing, using, or misusing of any awarded prize or any portion thereof; 2) any type of technical failure; 3) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, phone, or Internet service; 4) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the Scholarship; 5) electronic error or human error in the Scholarship administration or the processing of entries.

LGE Community Credit Union will have complete discretion over interpretation of the Official Rules, of administration of the Scholarship. Decisions of LGE Community Credit Union as to the selection of the winner(s) will be final. LGE Community Credit Union is not responsible for false, incorrect, changed, incomplete, or illegible contact information. LGE Community Credit Union reserves the right to modify the notification procedures in connection with the selection of any alternate potential winner, if any.

BY PARTICIPATING, PARTICIPANTS AGREE TO ABIDE BY AND BE BOUND BY THESE RULES AND ACCEPT THE DECISION OF LGE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION AS FINAL. LGE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION RESERVES THE RIGHT, IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, TO DISQUALIFY ANY ENTRANT AND/OR WINNER BASED ON SUCH. ANY AND ALL ADDITIONAL EXPENSES, INJURIES, AND OTHER FEES THAT MAY BE INCURRED BY PARTICIPANTS DURING PROMOTION WILL BE AT PARTICIPANTS’ OWN DISCRETION AND OWN EXPENSE. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ALL DISPUTES MUST BE RESOLVED BY BINDING ARBITRATION.

Winner Name(s). To obtain a copy of the winner’s name(s) or a copy of these Official Rules, mail your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: LGE Community Credit Union, Attn: Cassie Farmer - Scholarship, P.O. Box 1188, Marietta, GA 30061. Requests may also be submitted via email to CassieC@LGEccu.org. Requests must be received no later than 30 days after the close of the Scholarship.

Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service may apply.

By submitting an entry, Entrant warrants that he/she/they are at least the age of majority in the state in which they reside, and competent to contract in his/her/their own name as to all matters herein, or incorporated herein by reference. IF APPLICABLE: Entrant represents and warrants that he/she/they are the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) person(s) indicated herein. In consideration of the value recited, I consent to the terms and conditions recited in Agreement on behalf of the “Member(s)” indicated herein with full force and effect as parent and/or legal guardian, with the intent that this release be binding for all purposes and for all time, both before and after the Member(s) reaches “the age of consent”, intending that the Member(s) will be bound by these terms and conditions.
